Yes – poem
I hear you when you speak to me.
I hear you as you lead me.
I hear you through your word.
I hear you while in prayer.
In fear I come to you
Not in reverence do I respond.
It is my own self survival that I seek.
My own will do I speak.
When will your “yes” mean something?
More than mere words from your lips.
Surrender your will to me
Knowing that it is I you must seek.
You can not go higher unless
You allow me to take control.
Stop fighting, crying, wavering, fearing
Pretending, unmask and move forward.
This will require more than you can give.
It will become your everything.
In me you must live.
